We’re working with the City of Ottawa to review their community garden action plan and community-led green initiatives on City-owned land. Our work involves ensuring the development of an inclusive strategy and framework and enhancing the standards, processes, and structures needed to support the development of community gardens and other community-led green projects.

Provided urban agriculture operation and educational services at Colliers’ foodscape and pollinator garden. We provided weekly garden maintenance, supported volunteers in engaging in the garden and hosted community events for staff and community members to learn about gardening and sustainability.

We conducted a comprehensive feasibility study for GTGK’s rooftop space to help them transition their green roof into a market garden. We explored business models that included a chicken operation and beehives, revenue streams that balanced economic, social and environmental impact goals, labour inputs, crop planning, infrastructure needs and distribution channels.

We supported Avling in developing a “Regeneratively Grown Grain” program for their brewery operation. Through a comprehensive industry review, we lead relationship building between the brewery and six local grain farmers who now grow heritage, rare and regenerative grain for the brewery. We created a social media campaign to educate customers on the project.

We provide coaching, workshops, events and support to community gardens at various Daniels’ buildings across Toronto and Mississauga. This includes regular education programming for community gardeners, internal support for garden committees and budgeting.

Provided workshops and resources to team at Karma - SEED to facilitate community care, non-violent communication and leadership building.

We are working with the Vizcaya Museum & Gardens team to incorporate and build their urban agriculture operations and community programming. We are also supporting Beyer Blinder Belle and Nelson Byrd Woltz n their process of updating the Master Plan for the site which involves working alongside their architects and planners to bring a sustainability and urban agriculture lens to the Master Plan.
